Club HistoryThe Kiwanis Club of Downtown Minneapolis has been a center of civic activity in the Twin Cities for over 90 years!Our club was chartered on May 19, 1917, and has been meeting regularly in downtown Minneapolis ever since that time. In 1941, club members formed the Minneapolis Kiwanis Foundation, a separate entity which is funded by our club activities and club members. The foundation awards thousands of dollars annually as scholarships to area students and grants to worthwhile charities. In the meantime, the assets held by the foundation have also increased to over $1.2 Million. Members of the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Minneapolis are also members of the foundation.
